Workforce and Professional Development Institute:

 The Workforce and Professional Development Institute (WPDI) offers training, short-term courses, workshops and coaching for businesses, employees and individuals

through Professional Development, Talent Development Services and the Illinois Small Business Development and International Trade Center.

 Professional Development (PD) offers

Text Box: DEGREES/CERTIFICATESin-person and online courses that introduce and enhance in-demand career skills or fulfill licensure/certification requirement. Programs span CLC’s Fields of Interest, including Business and Information Technology (e.g. project management, real estate), Education and Social Sciences (e.g. professional development hours for teachers), manufacturing, Engineering and Advanced Technologies (e.g. forklift operator, truck drive) and Wellness and Health Sciences (e.g. pharmacy technician, veterinary assistant). PD also offers vocational courses designed for adults with mild to moderate cognitive impair- ment in the Personal Success Program.

 Talent Development Services (TDS)

provides innovative learning solutions that deliver results. Preparing your organization for the continually changing work environment is a smart strategy. TDS delivers customized training crafted to meet your organization’s specific needs through instructor-led, online or hybrid offerings that can be held at your location or at one of CLC’s three campuses. Training topics include managerial and supervisory skills, computer skills, English as a Second Language, presentation skills, etc. and are taught by subject matter experts who specialize in training adult learners. Professional coaching and career coaching are also available for all levels of management and employees.
